This course can provide all material needed to take the SPBLA Master Natural Gas Fitter Exam. If you do not need material, select the "no materials needed" option below. We recommend attending at least 4 classes, but you may attend up to 7 for no additional charge.

SPBLA 2026 Baton Rouge Master Natural Gas Fitter Exam Schedule:

  • February 28th
  • April 18th
  • July 25th (Shreveport)
  • September 19th
  • November 14th


The Master Natural Gas Fitter exam consists of a two (2) part, written exam.

Part I of the examination is three (3) hours and eighty (80) questions and is based on the following materials

  • 2021 International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC)


Part II of the examination is two (2) hours and forty (40) questions and is based on the following material:

  • NASCLA Guide to Business, Law and Project Management, Louisiana Master Plumbers and Master Natural Gas Fitters, 2nd Edition
